Conscious sedation: Concious sedation is taking a medicine in our office that makes the patient completely relaxed. Many times the patient does not remember being in the dental office due to an amnesia effect. Someone is needed to bring the patient, stay during the appointment and drive the patient home.

Cleanings: We recommend cleanings at least every six months , more frequently if you are prone to have periodontal disease or heavy build up on your teeth. At this time we also check to make sure you have no cavities or dental related problems that need to be addressed.

Radiographs: Our office offers the most up to date Dexis digital radiographs or x-rays. We recommend having x-rays taken at least once a year, unless we see something that needs more attention and we take them based on your dental needs. We also offer conventional panoramic radiographs that we take for pathology screening and to see teeth that are not fully through the gums.

Deep cleanings or scaling and root planning: This is needed when someone has what is called periodontal disease. This is when there is a lot of build up, called calculus or tarter, that goes below the gums and can not be removed by a simple cleaning. We frequently do this on one half of the mouth at a time and get the mouth numb to provide a more comfortable cleaning.

Whitening: We currently offer bleaching trays with Opalescence tooth whitening gel to be worn at night. This technique of wearing bleaching trays has been scientifically proven to be the most effective, safest, and most comfortable way of getting teeth whiter.

White (composite) fillings: We offer white fillings that are the same color of the teeth for most people. This is the most esthetic option for when someone has decay.

Silver (amalgam) fillings: We still offer this time honored filling material. Though many would prefer to have white fillings, these still offer some benefits for some patients.

Crowns: Crowns have many indications that include cracked teeth and large fillings. They encompass the teeth 360 degrees. We offer three types of crowns: full gold, porcelain fused to metal, and all porcelain.

Bridges: Bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth. They are attached to teeth on either side of the space missing teeth and are something that is not removable. They are frequently the best choice for patients because they replace teeth and you don’t have to worry about caring for them differently than your natural teeth.

Veneers: Veneers are a piece of porcelain that are placed on a tooth to reshape or recontour a tooth that may be discolored or out of place.

Implants: Implants are an artificial tooth root that is placed into the bone where a tooth is lost. They help to prevent bone loss in the area where the tooth is gone. They can hold crowns, bridges or dentures on top of them to replace teeth.

Partial dentures: Partial dentures are used to replace one or many teeth that have been lost. They should be taken out by the patient every night to be cleaned.

Dentures: Dentures are for people who have lost all of their teeth. They should be taken out by the patient every night to be cleaned.

Root canal fillings: Root canals are when the nerve, or root, of the tooth needs to be removed because of decay or infection deep in the tooth. The tooth is then filled with a material that is clean and will allow the tooth to stay in the mouth for an extended period of time.
